Suitcase Exhibit

This is an amazing exhibit. A set of stories - lives of ordianary folks who lived in a mental institution for decades.

I have several thoughts on this (probably due to my psychology degree, my underutilized one at that).

Do you use your Groupons?

I am very selective on the Groupons I purchase, as I want to be sure 1. They are a good deal 2. I will use them. As my first Groupon expired over the holiday weekend without my attention, I wondered how many people this happens to. Hmmmpphhh.

I finally did it.

For over a year, I have wanted to start a blog. My biggest challenge has been “the blog name” or URL. I suppose the purpose of a blog is so that people can follow you and perhaps be insprired. Unforunately, my blog doesn’t have a purpose. It is not about cooking or sewing or diet or family or photography - it is about all of that.

I tried SO many names that respresented how random this might be. I thought it only fair to advertise that it is infact randomn items.

Then my husband bought me a tablet for Christmas. I then found it essential that I buckle down and find a name that was not already claimed. Two days of non-stop error messges “Another person has claimed this URL”, I settled on “randomitis”.

Being in the medical field, I do realize that this does not even make sense - Inflammation of Random?!

Then I thought, “Sure, why not” My randomness is inflammed! Almost to a problematic point. One week I am just as likely to be excited about a motrocycle ride as I am the cupcakes I am baking the next.

So, there you have it - my first blog post about why I started!
